Venice

Our exhibition programme welcomes applications across a wide range of contemporary art practices, with a primary focus on painting, sculpture, photography and experimental media. We invite artists that explore different artistic languages and contribute to an international and contemporary vision of art. Priority will be given to works that engage meaningfully with the spaces and contexts in which they are presented, while highlighting the artist’s individual research and the visual strength of the work. These opportunities are part of our European Programme. Apply now and our selection committee will review your application and contact you regarding potential participation. All exhibitions are scheduled to run for two weeks between January 2026 and December 2027. Applications are free of charge. Selected artists will be required to pay a participation fee. We welcome all forms of partnership and sponsorship that can support artists’ participation, including: representing galleries; public and private institutions; cultural foundations; patrons and collectors; direct funding from the artists themselves. This creates a flexible and collaborative model that allows artists to receive support from their professional networks, as well as from institutional and private partners, while strengthening the project’s overall impact and visibility. Venice is one of the historic poles of global contemporary art. Here Darte joins a highly international context, where the exhibition dimension meets European curatorial tradition.

Venice is one of the original centres of European artistic imagination. Within Darte's European program, exhibiting in Venice means entering a unique cultural ecosystem. An opportunity that combines visibility, recognition and the symbolic power of a city that is already, in itself, a work of art.

The audience is international and constantly moving: curators, artists, collectors, institutions. Exhibiting here means being inside a global flow already in motion, where every encounter can turn into a real professional relationship.

Esporre a Venezia significa presentare il proprio lavoro in una città che, da secoli, occupa una posizione centrale nell’immaginario artistico europeo. Durante i mesi della Biennale, Venezia diventa uno dei principali punti d’incontro dell’arte contemporanea internazionale. Artisti, curatori, collezionisti, gallerie, istituzioni e professionisti provenienti da tutto il mondo attraversano la città, dando vita a un ambiente culturale unico per intensità, varietà e capacità di generare nuove connessioni. Il Programma Europeo di Darte offre agli artisti selezionati la possibilità di entrare in questo contesto attraverso mostre prodotte professionalmente, ospitate in prestigiosi spazi veneziani e inserite all’interno di un progetto internazionale dedicato alla valorizzazione della ricerca artistica contemporanea. Non si tratta semplicemente di esporre un’opera, ma di vivere Venezia attraverso il proprio lavoro, incontrare nuovi pubblici e aggiungere al proprio percorso un’esperienza espositiva riconoscibile e documentata.
