Discover the programRome is a layered system of cultural power, archaeology and contemporaneity. Every artistic intervention confronts a unique historical density. The city works as a critical device: it forces art to measure itself against monumentality, memory and transformation. Exhibiting in Rome means entering one of the symbolic centres of European art, where every project takes on institutional weight and amplified cultural resonance.
Historic and contemporary spaces coexist on the same visual plane. Museums, foundations, independent spaces: each context brings a different reading. The audience is mixed — institutional, academic, creative — and the city has a very active scene. Exhibiting in Rome means working inside a continuous stratification where every project is read also in relation to what preceded it.
How we work
The darte code of ethics
All exhibitions are scheduled for two weeks between January 2026 and December 2027. This application gives you the opportunity to be part of them.

Palazzo Velli Expo

Palazzo Velli Expo is a historic exhibition space in the heart of Trastevere, on Piazza Sant'Egidio, one of Rome's liveliest and most recognizable neighbourhoods. A late-medieval and Renaissance historic residence, the palace is today a multifunctional venue dedicated to exhibitions, cultural events and encounters. Its architecture — restored historic elements and rooms of strong identity — offers an ideal context for dialogue between urban memory and contemporary art languages.

Medina Art Gallery is an exhibition space in Rome's Esquilino district, dedicated to solo shows and tailored curatorial projects within the Darte European program, with two adjacent venues between Via Poliziano and Via Merulana.
