"My work begins with a question about space: how little is necessary for an image to emerge? I am interested in the moment in which a form becomes present without becoming recognizable. My paintings do not seek to represent an external reality, but to construct an internal one through the relationship between shape, proportion, weight, rhythm, and silence. The empty space is not a background in my work. It is an active element. It creates pauses, establishes distance, and gives the painted forms their presence. I work intuitively, but the process is one of constant adjustment: a form expands, another is reduced, a line interrupts a mass, and the composition gradually finds its own equilibrium. In my recent paintings, I have moved toward greater reduction, particularly through the use of black and white. This limitation allows me to focus on the essential relationships within the image: edge and surface, mass and void, order and instinct. For me, abstraction is a way of discovering an image rather than illustrating one. The painting becomes the record of that discovery — a space where what is seen and what is imagined meet."
