1994 · Italia · Lecce

"An artistic journey of free experimentation that explores painting, sculpture, and multidisciplinary installations, ultimately arriving at "social sculpture." The aim is to express what Jacques Lacan defines as *Das Ding*—the missing part, the black hole of existence that simultaneously subtracts and represents. It is an ever-evolving inquiry capable of opening up new, unpredictable scenarios for individual and collective recognition. Art acts as a short circuit—a distortion of reality *within* reality—fueling itself through the latter's contradictions and dark recesses. Recent experiments blend acrylic and oil paints with polymeric materials, presenting a vision of the Anthropocene as a final, simultaneously romantic and decadent gesture of humanity—poised on the brink of the abyss, facing the definitive dissolution and rupture of the natural balances that envelop it as both the cause and the victim of itself."

S.Rosa navigates the chaotic matter amidst insignificant bodies—those very bodies, gathered, amassed, ignited, and molded, that originate from the refuse collected along the streets sensitive to her passing. Her passage is silent; her gesture is illuminated by the large, sightless, glowing eyes lining the sidewalks.

The shaping of plastic material blends with elements of diverse origins—from iron to wood—teetering on the brink of collapse within the wavering density of a formless mass. The intent lies in that moment of enchantment: a fundamentally doomed attempt to transmute rejection and regurgitation into a cascade of liquid gold.

Born in 1994, S.Rosa began by cultivating the ground for her first blossoming; in the spring of 2023, leaving four years of solitary experience behind her, she made her debut with *ERGO*, a solo exhibition held in the underground spaces of Lecce.
